Ahhhh...so they are motorized seeing the switch on top. Still no idea of what the size is right? Are the 'Real' tracks the same as Blue Track?

And what are these??? They look like two different engines but both have switches.

Yes, they show the two tracks are compatible.

It's not a second engine, you can take off the top piece to swap with the smaller one. My guess is that the 'regular' one is too tall to fit under an elevated track. They're labeled "high type" and "low type".

i hope they have track adaptor to connect the real class tracks with the traditional tracks. All i see are straight and curve tracks and no switch tracks.

You don't need an adaptor - it's the same form factor and connectors just with a different look.

And here's extra info on the Plarail site! https://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/pl...realclass/

Fun fact: These may not be the only trains under Plarail Real Class, the site already has some space for the second releases!

 Yeah so on Plarail site, this is shown more clearly,

There are replaceable parts provided, I assume it could be for the train to go under girders as mentioned before.

The other train also comes with such.

HURRAY!!! This new series will be featured at the Tokyo Plarail Expo in a couple of weeks. Just last night I was thinking that this might be Plarail getting into a new line specifically for the Adult Collector and reading the Press Release linked by Chrisjo...that is exactly who this line aimed at. Wonder how flimsy the track may be as I do see in one picture a straight rail that may be arched. Speaking of the rails and the video showing it connects to Blue Rails...wonder if they will come out with Track packs in the near future? LOL...they are gray and would look great for me intermixed in my Layouts   😁

Wonder how realistic HO passengers will look seated in the coaches? These also look like they are begging for lighting modifications. I really like that Odakyu Romancecar Train. Might get it but I also may wait and see if they come up with any Diesels and/or Steam trains and what they would be like.
EDIT: Just Pre-Ordered the Odakyu....DOH! 😆

@T-Fanz

Probably one of the last thing to know about the trains, the packaging! Source

We will have vertical boxes as with special Plarail trains, looking fancy.
