Plarail real class

Nice one, guess they are compatible with each other.

HURRAY!!! This new series will be featured at the Tokyo Plarail Expo in a couple of weeks. Just last night I was thinking that this might be Plarail getting into a new line specifically for the Adult Collector and reading the Press Release linked by Chrisjo...that is exactly who this line aimed at. Wonder how flimsy the track may be as I do see in one picture a straight rail that may be arched. Speaking of the rails and the video showing it connects to Blue Rails...wonder if they will come out with Track packs in the near future? LOL...they are gray and would look great for me intermixed in my Layouts   😁

I am fairly certain the grey rails in the promo video are mockup prototypes that have been 3D printed and painted, not the final product. I've seen them do the same thing in some of the promo images of upcoming Shinkalion toys. Note the rough texture.

you are welcome super.  If you are really into the grey tracks. Toy R US imagarium (Sorry I cannot spell properly) battery train line's tracks can be connected to tomy tracks.  Sadly, that line has discontinued but you may find some cheap ones online.

It is certainly appealing (price wise) compare to model trains.  If the trains are the same size as the kids' version, I am not sure if I want to spent more on the metal shells and more detail interiors.  I wonder if the motor on these real class trains are more powerful than the kids' version given the shells (in theory) are heavier and pull more carriage (4 carriages as oppose to 3 carriages).  more importantly are the chassis interchangeable between the kids plarail trains vs the plarail real class train.

At the first glance, it looks like this line may be successful given how fast the trains has been sold out.  

A lot of people are comparing this new line to Plarail Advance line.  Personally I would take plarail real class over plarail advance.  

Another burning question will be: will Plarail make the bridge support column a bit taller to accomdate the plarail new class trains.  If so will the bridge column tall enough to accomodate fisher price All engine go engines and rolling stock?

Have they been confirmed to be metal? I haven't seen that.

I think the Bridge support height issue is why they include the lower second set of roof replacement parts so they can fit under the normal risers.

I don't think there should not be any problem with the motor, after all Plarail has released 6-car train sets before, standard Plarail motor can also haul an extra unpowered motor car (+4 intermediate cars) as in trains with connect specifications (i.e. Shinkansen).

The shell can might as well be plastic as far as I aware, I have a TomyTec 1/150 bus that is just plain plastic, but has comparable details to Plarail Real Class.

I think if they were diecast it would be a point in the marketing. I don't see any indication.

You might have seen this from me further back in this Thread, when we knew absolutely nothing and were guessing,  where I mentioned that maybe because of the details and price it was metal.

Thank you for the video Link. It confirmed what I suspected but couldn't make out for sure in the first pictures I saw and disappointed me so much I cancelled my pre-order for the Romancecar.  Love all the window glazings and new style rails but I no longer see the worth now for doubling the price. This is my own querks and I am sure these will be a big seller with all the Plarail collectors around the world. I am hoping that this feature will not show up if they decide to make Diesels and Steamers in which case I will buy them.
