I did customize one Hiro which was a Trackmaster as the Polar Express. The reason we chose him was, at the time we didn't particularly care for him and he wasn't in good condition. I can see by the comparison in Ucwepns video that I wish we'd used the Tomy version, much bigger a detailed.

I haven't really given Hong Mei a good look over until this video Mr No. She is a very neat looking engine and in my eyes a perfect candidate for a 'Defaced' Custom because of all the........Rivets! I also learned from your video that she had her own coaches, An An and Yin Long....why on earth did she not come with them? What do they look like?

I see Thomas was running with the new Trackmaster II's Annie and Clarabel...how do they roll on the Tomy tracks with those fixed rear couplers and spiked wheels?

When I took the picture No 2, my first thought was: "Oh boy, I know who would appreciate this rivets!"

An An and Yin-Long are beautiful green coaches:





In the TV series, the coaches usually work with Hong-Mei and Thomas during his Chinese passenger runs. Occasionally, Yong Bao pulls them. It's, of course, a mystery why Hong-Mei didn't come with them. She comes in a set only, with Dr. Thomas (the one with wings) and... Rajiv?! Why did they include Rajiv and not her coaches? Beats me.

Yes, I run Thomas with the new Trackmaster's Annie and Clarabel in some of my latest videos. Here are few remarks:

- The faces of Annie and Clarabel are beautiful. Really beautiful. Just look at them:



- Spiky wheels are horrid. I mean, they look awful, and I don't think they are even good for tracks! You can actually hear them when they are running - they are very noisy, like they are plowing the tracks or something. I would like to meet and have a word the person who invented this awkward wheels... But there is one good thing - you can't actually see how ugly they are when the train is moving! 

- I didn't notice any problems with the fixed coupler, they are OK, I guess..

- The carriages are a bit smaller than Plarail Annie and Clarabel though.   They are shorter than Thomas and 0.5 cm shorter than their Plarail counterparts, but I can live with that; they are not too small. 

All in all, TM II Annie & Clarabel are OK for making videos, but I'll keep close my regular Tomy Annie & Clarabel. I would like Takara Tomy to consider making them with such wonderful faces, of course.

Here we have Ryan, a purple tank engine who used to work on the Great Northern Railway. On Sir Topham Hatt's Railway Ryan takes goods on the Harwick Branch Line, while Daisy takes passengers. And here I got into trouble: As we know, neither Tomy nor TrackMaster didn't release Daisy, so I had to run the "next best" engine for the job, which is, naturally, BoCo. Since he is not a railcar like Daisy, he had to pull Gordon's express coaches to take the passengers to Harwick. 

It is still a mystery to me why there is no model of Daisy. I heard some rumours, heard about cancelling her release by Trackmaster... but I really think she should be released. Hey, Tomy, that would be a nice set: Daisy & Ryan. They work together on the same branch line - why not releasing them together? After all, she is an engine from the original stories of the Rev. W. Awdry: her first appearance is in the second story (titled: "Daisy") of the Book No. 16 of the Railway Series - "Branch Line Engines" (1961).

They made so many models based on later characters, Ryan being one of them (he was created by Andrew Brenner & Ian McCue, not by W. Awdry), and they forgot some characters of the original story, for no obvious reason.

I think it was Ucwepn that modified Skiff with a spring on his sail so he could go under things right>

My mistake...but I did know it was from some great guy!

Missed an opportunity to have him pull Annie and Clarabel and hang from the broken bridge with Thomas rescuing him (like in the episode).
