What? I didn't think Fenbo was ever sold in Europe. Guess I was wrong. Anyone seen this before?

I don't think I have seen a Fenbo EuroStar before. Are you sure its Fenbo, it looks like the trains that Nigels was collecting that had gray track with round connectors. I can't remember what those were called so maybe they were called Fenbo. Could they also be in the Kansai (spelling?) range? I will look on the Auctions of Japan.

Ok...determined It can't be the sets Nigels was collecting as they were middle car powered.
The ones me and AC were buying were branded 'Daiso' (if I recall correctly), that one looks more like a Kansai based on the connector types and the battery compartment. If so they are roughly the same scale/axle-width as the Tomy trains, however I can't guarantee that they would run as well on blue track as Tomy...

Hope this helps Smile

Yes that's the fenbo, they were sold in Eastern Europe and I think still are, there is also an F unit diesel and a steam train with static traction rods. Also sold under the name "Do city"

Thanks. Didn't know about the steam engine either. Any pictures?
Also, this doesn't explain the origins of the middle car. Was there another Fenbo set with a complete Eurostar?

The first link in my post has a picture of the steam train. Yes there was likely another set available with the 3 car set.
