2018 Plarail Thomas Predictions

I will be surprised if they don't make Merlin for a three-pack. Would love to see them do Frankie, or a push-along Theo.
I know it's unlikely, but I feel like they might revamp Henry next. They did Gordon and James, Henry seems like the next logical step, wouldn't you agree?

Since everyone even me has said Thomas items how about some items that’s arnt Thomas related like I would like to see them make a 8620 or a C57 187

I totally agree Henry or maybe Edward seems like the next engine to be revamped into a engine more locomotive hopefully if they do edward they won’t screw him up like trackmaster did

That's true except here at Chez OTR, where a certain 5 year old is very obsessed with Sam and articulated engines in general. I know that, realistically, I'll end up having to build one by kitbashing a couple other engines. It would be nice if I didn't have to but that's how the market works nowadays. Sadly, this isn't the the era of 5-10 years ago where either or both companies would release just about every character they could.

Yes! I'm actually kind of surprised Henry hasn't been updated. The only concern I would have is that the proportions might get mangled in the interface of the cab and firebox. Even though I'm not super fond of the battery in the tender design, I like that the firebox doesn't completely block the cab front, unlike later Trackmaster designs.

Oh yeah, I have a whole wish list of real world engines I'd like to see done in Plarail. Where to even begin...?

This isn't a knock against the guy who did the custom Sam by lashing together two Connors. Part of what has held me back was that I didn't like that solution. The problem is that, without major engineering work, it might be the most practical solution. My son would be happy with two Connors cut down and lashed together, meaning that my other major issues are the fairly high cost of the engines and my ham-fisted modeling skills.

But Trackmaster isn't really sold in Japan. I was just saying realistically, Plarail would probably be on the road to making them for the Japanese market, as they as some of the characters in the film with bigger roles.

The Flying Scotsman could be a nice release from Plarail

Not Thomas but Plarail....

I would like to see an updated C11 and coaches based on the current Oigawa Thomas. I have the older C battery version that I love but a new AA battery version would still be cool. And of course, (sounding like a broken record) a reissue of the blue Suha 43 passenger coaches! The C58 is such a lovely engine that I think it deserves another issue, perhaps in an "everyday working engine" livery this time.

None of these would be difficult to do as the basic tooling already exists.

It wouldn’t be that hard anyways just modify Gordon’s face give him smoke deflectors and give him 2 Spencer tenders modified to look like Scotsman’s tenders and then just paint it done even I could do it but I already have the trackmaster one but I might make one
