Plarail TOMY Thomas NEW RELEASES

Funny that they put non-Real-Class trains with the station for promotional pictures lmao, although since Real Class trains always come with 4 cars, one car would stick out of the station.

Hope they would come up with a base to hold the track next, it looks very strange to see the outer part of the sleepers just stick out in mid-air like that.
Hunting Shinkansen for life (but not at all costs) :>
WooHoo...its so nice to see that they are releasing different tracks, my Pre-Order is in. I hope they will also start releasing others like a Half Rail etc. It is also nice to see that Plarail is making better Stations as the 'flat' ones that have come out the last few years haven't met with the design standards of the past.

I am encouraged by the use of what was the Real Class Plarail Logo on the Marunouchi Station, this leads me to believe (hope) that they may be planning on releasing a new line of accessories that are meant to go with the new, more realistic Real Class that can also be used with the originals. I am curious though if that new Marunouchi Station has the Real Class track track built in/on the back or the same as the first release has regular gray track built on, or maybe none at all allowing the user to use either track.

Thank you Dr Chris, KNDY, Mr No and Hanoi.

It's the same as the first release, a 2-piece grey base with integral grey stop/go rails, shown connecting with regular blue rails.

Thank you Dr Chris
The Tokyo Monorail 10000 Series Set originally released in August 2015 has been updated to reflect the change in the Tokyo Monorail logo that took place back in 2018.

The name on the box is now Tokyo Monorail 10000 Series Set ~New Logo~. Headlight and taillight detail have also been added and the destination display on the side, which previously only showed "Airport Rapid Service", now reads "Airport Rapid Service Hamamatsucho."

This new version was released at Plarail Expo in KITAKYUSHU, July 12th-21st.

Thanks Dr Chris

Hmmm...by " Headlight and taillight detail have also been added " if this means it has lights or just stickers or embossing the likeness? Also wonder if its a Plarail Expo Exclusive release like the 2015 was,
I believe the lights have been added as stickers. It's a limited release, from 18th July to 30th September at the main Tokyo Monorail stations (Hamamatsucho and Haneda Airport Terminals 1 & 2), otherwise only at events such as Plarail Expo as before.

This word Uguisu comes up from time to time in the descriptions of Japanese commuter trains. It refers to a specific colour that in English would be somewhere on the olive green to greenish brown spectrum. You will sometimes see it translated as 'Warbler Green' since it is also the name of a greenish brown bird, the Japanese Bush Warbler or Japanese Nightingale, and by analogy is also used to describe a woman with a beautiful voice.  You will notice that on the Real Class box Tomy have helpfully translated it for us already.

Pretty cool train! Rode it to Nara, so definitely my reason for wanting it in my collection!
