The line under the roof does seem to be there on the 60th anniversary one, the image quality just makes it hard to see. To me it looks like the only differences are the indicator stickers on the side, although it does kinda look like the new one has golden paint around the doors instead of the silver from the Tokyo Station version? Again it could just look that way due to poor image quality
Plarail TOMY Thomas NEW RELEASES

Either Takara Tomy has decreased production on Plarail or people internationally buying a lot of them due to the weakened yen. But in 2024, Plarail is becoming very difficult to purchase on Amazon Japan (specifically Plarail Real Class or special edition releases), which was once a goto. You literally have to pre-order or else you miss out. I've never ever missed out on new releases until this year.

I don't think Plarail is Dying, I mean yes they are having problems at the moment, but they sell out quickly, I mean, since they don't POST much in the US, hmm you might not get me with this, but I mean, people are now selling more Plarail on Amazon US, look at the Thomas Section, especially the normal line, yes they may be pricey for better Packs, but we have gotten so much more this year

Kind of surprised Super didn't ask why Bruno has a motorised variant despite being a caboose ("brake car" in the show). According to the "logic" of this reboot, other rolling stock besides engines can now move by themselves over short distances; however, they still need the engines (locomotives) to move them any further than that.
Excuse me, TakaraTomy, whatever is this?

The Yakumo Express is a limited express train that connects Okayama and the San'in region, and began commercial operation in 1982 with the 381 series, a natural pendulum type vehicle. In March 2022, the 50th anniversary of the start of operation of the Yakumo Express on the Hakubi Line, it was revived in the nostalgic "JNR color Yakumo" , the "Super Yakumo color" in February 2023, and the "Green Yakumo color" in November 2023, and together with the non-revival "Yukkuri Yakumo color", a total of four past colors are lined up. It has continued to run through the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras, but in April 2024, the new 273 series will debut, and the 381 series Yakumo Express will gradually cease operation. This product reproduces the mixed-color six-car formation that was actually operated in the late 1990s, consisting of three cars in "green Yakumo color," two cars in "JNR color Yakumo," and one car in "Super Yakumo color." I think Super is right, the 'Super Yakuma Color' is new to Plarail. |
