Glad to see a re-release of the 0 Series Shinkansen with Lights and Tokyo Station Set because maybe I can finally get a second special middle coach that only come with this train.

Unfortunately, this re-release of the Tokyo station does not come with a train, it's just the station building.
Hey, the 0 series from that 60th anniversary set looks to be the same or at least very similar to the one from the original Tokyo station set. Would most likely be cheaper to get that and the new release of the tokyo station than to find the original set, the original one tends to go for some fairly high prices on the japanese market.
Have a Link for that set JT? If the middle coach has silver details then it may be the same one.
I wonder if the Tokyo Station building height matches what can be used for N Gauge. I would use it as a background building for diorama purposes and just modifying it.....to add some people, trees and such.

Funny you mentioned this KNDY...I was just thinking that the reason I didn't care for the Station in its first release was that it was undersized for the Plarail scale. I believe they also made a smaller one maybe for the Capsule line though.

Thank you JT, it does appear to have the silver details I was looking for. I will have to get mine out to see if all the details are the same. 😊
EDIT: After looking at mine (see image below) I would have to see more of the coach to confirm the likeness. From what I could see from the link is there are either stickers or painted indicators on the sides which mine have none, can't see a definite blue stripe on the side at the roof line although it may be there, whether they are faux windows or open, and the shade of blue it is. On another note the train I have that came with the original Big Tokyo Station set comes with illuminated nose cone and two side lights. I believe the only one in the Plarail 'O' Shinkansen that does although for some reason my deteriorating mind says there may be an illuminated red nose cone released but not sure. |
