I was just going to say that. I was going to do it that way but have never purchase that way other than auctions. I am assuming there are still the fees and double shipping. Just wondering if they may pop up on eBay or an auction and be any cheaper? Probably not though..

Yea the only difference is it is coming from a store rather than a individual, so the domestic shipping is a little more predictable, it would be worth reading the Toys R Us Japan shipping page to get a idea of what you are in for. As for eBay I'm sure someone will list it, but only way to know price there is to wait and see how much markup they add.

its based on the original james from the railway stories, so essentually it is the "old one" lol.

Yes it's the new type 2015 James with the pre sodor livery for those playing at home very late to do TAB line of toys but I understand Japan gets everything a year or so late. What was the last Thomas train or livery to be a plarail exclusive? I'm thinking Marion but what was the one before that?
