What is so special about the trains in this specific packaging that fetches such a premium of $100/$200??

This is the very first release of Plarail Henry, in its original box! That explains the hefty price tag for the little train.

It's there any variations, different apointments, ect. to them from a second generation packaging Plarail version??

It is the very first variant of the Plarail boxes, featuring either a Season 1 or 2 promotional picture of the character, and the engine itself has no enhanced detail(E.G., painted running board, white behind the eyes, painted teeth) with different rolling stock included.
