Train Repair

I found a Freddie at a thrift Shop a few months ago and discovered when I got him home that the gear on his axle was broken. Is there any place I could get a replacement ?

You could steal an axle off a spare diesel train (diesel, Paxton etc.)

Diesel,Paxton etc have a different gear as they have a different drive unit. Thomas, Toby, Percy, Duncan, Rosie, there are a few more I forgot which all share the same drive unit. you can also super glue it closed but it might skip on occasion but will be better than before.

I had to super glue it when I got it to make it work. It will run now but skips on hills. Would be nice to find a R.C. manufacturer that would make comparable parts for the motors. He was still worth the $5.00 I gave for him.
