is anyone still collecting? can anyone give me a rundown of which classics have been re-released with rivet details, please?
according to the wiki, there will be 6 new minis in the second half of this year, in the see-through bags. 3 previous classic releases have rivet details, so make it 9 new ones if you go that route. there is also another advent calendar due this year.

i went through my whole collection today, putting the sets into alphabetical order and putting them back in the wheels. somewhere along the line, i have lost aquarium gator. i am rather baffled, but he could be anywhere across maybe 4 different house moves. easier to just find another one. lol. i also ordered two of the missing ones from series 24 from a website in the uk, so that just leaves 2 to go. i cut down a tray from an advent calendar to make holders for the metallic trains to prevent scratching.
its been an interesting few months. i quit my job at the end of last year and moved back to my home town. i have not been able to make any headway here, and my old boss rang the other week and asked me to go back, so i am going back north on sunday and will make a life up there.
over christmas, i helped a good friend re-deck his heritage river boat, and i also spent 2 weeks traveling the south island in my car, sleeping on a mattress in the back most nights. yeh, the motorbike has been sold and i have a car now. my nerves were getting worse every time i went riding, which is a shame. i no longer enjoyed something i had loved for near on 20 years.
i got up in the attic and have finished removing all of the tracks and other bits that were there. when i went south, i took a car load of trains to AOF, who has been selling them for me. so all i have left in the attic now is stuff i need, like blankets, different season clothing, and a few childhood toys.
my lion king collection has exploded and is now in the wardrobe. im loving it, so many memories tied to a lot of the items.
