Flat drive unit motor upgrade in TOMY or Trackmaster

It appears they will be releasing two types of Hyper Dash 3 although they appear to have the same RPMs (17200-22000) but one has the normal carbon brushes and the other (a new type???) silver/carbon brush. Does the latter help performance or longevity?
"Silver/carbon mix material brushes offer an excellent balance of performance and improved reliability that will help boost your chances of winning the race, whether it is on flat-out speed circuits or more winding layouts! Note: (Hyper-Dash 2 motors use copper/carbon mix in the motor brush compound)"

Specification:

Input voltage: 2.4-3.0V
Torque at recommended load: 1.4-1.9mN-m
RPM: 17,200-21,200
Current consumption: 1.6-3.0A
How does that Power consumption compare to the Power Dash which by the way is no longer listed at Tamiya?

Oh...geesh, as soon as I posted this question I realized I have a dozen Power Dashes here [Image: forehead-slap-smiley-emoticon.gif]

Current Consumption for Power Dash 2.5 - 3.3A
power dash 2.5-3.0A

Here are some more specs of different motors this list is somewhat obsolete though

Does it look like the Hyper Dash 3 Silver/carbon is going to be the preferred for us with the lower current consumption. In your review of the Power Dash didn't you say it was, in your opinion the best for combination of speed and consumption?
Yes at the time of the video nothing else I had tried in the tamiya range could match the speed/power consumption combination of the power dash, also on paper it has the best rpm for mA figure, it was also readily available at the time which is another reason I recommended it. I will certainly be getting the new motor to try.
