assuming the seller doesnt back out, i grabbed this for $50 tonight. it was listed for $50 ages ago, then the seller put the price up to $70, and thats what it stayed for 2 or 3 subsequent relists, as it was tonight. however, when i found the listing, both reserve and buy now were down to $50, so i jumped out it.

will be useful for plarail emery and buzz lightyear when i get him.

Those elevated sets with stations are awesome and some of them get pretty expensive especially ones that have more than one station. They look fun to play with and an additional loop of rails can be run underneath. Wouldn't it be fantastic if they had made it a transfer station type? Nice find for the New Year Sunhuntin.
not ebay, a local site. no reply from the seller as yet, but it was 10pm roughly when i bought it, and its now only 9.30am, so got some time yet.
an auto transfer station would have been amazing! but can see why they didnt, the base is quite tall on those, would have made this set look strange.

this will be my second set, the other is boxed and came with a different train

Actually I was thinking of them making the transfer station out of what they have as the station now. The way I am seeing it is that the set would look the same but 2 trains could run on the same track with a transfer taking place on each pass of that station. The 2 points would have the yellow lever removed and have them one way like the Y's are on the transfer stations now.
leyland, i do daily searches on the local site, and this particular one was "train" under toys and hobbies. pulls up anything with the word train in the listing. fairly easy to skim over the trash and find the treasures.

thanks, mr wepn... were i working id have taken it at $70, but every cent counts, and $20 is a lot of cents [and a lot of sense]

super, that could well work.

viaduct arrived this morning, in great shape! a number of the white pylons are gone, but thats no biggie as i have a few spares. engine runs smooth as silk.

the $20 saved on the price went on post [$13.20] and the container [$8.50] so well worth waiting for.
