Sure glad that someone was willing to buy the whole layout (they out bid me) but where do you even start the disassembly for something that is so big and built in place let alone planning the re-assembly...wow, quite the major project. I would be extremely interested in a video of all that from the new owners

Wow! Sometimes I think 'I'm glad I didn't win that'. This might have been one of those cases.
All you would need is .... a nice, large, converted garage to rebuild it in Dr Chris...how easy would that be? 😁
I'm happy I was able to go there in November, because the last time I was there it was about 6 years ago. I was SOOOO happy that some people planned to buy and move the whole layout in its entirety. Luckily it wont be extremely far away to where I live.
Hi Newbie, welcome to BPT's
Did you go there in November because you knew it was closing? What did you like or were impressed by during your visit? I Decided to go because I knew it was closing and I have only been their once back in 2016. I was impressed the same way that I was when I first went their, the massive scale of the place. The hills, bridges, stations, buildings, and of course all the trains going across all those hills, bridges and through the stations and buildings. Back then it was quite disappointing of the announcement made that summer, but I will definitely be seeing it in its new location when it opens up. |
