Recently I got a Tomy Rotary Snow Blower and after running it, I found it had some issues (see the video) Anyone know how to fix it and how to take the shell off without breaking the tabs? Thanks in advance!!!

Sounds and looks like possibly a split gear or two. What other choice do you have than taking your time separating the shell from the tabs? Train doesn't work properly now so either you have it not working or you take a chance on fixing it. At one time I had visions of putting lights inside one of mine but I never got around to taking it apart to see what I could do. If you do find some help or take a stab at it yourself, please come back and let us know. 👌

So after unscrewing everything, theres two pieces of plastic glued down behind the tabs, it might be possible to heat it up and pull them out but I'm not entirely sure.
From my experience I found it easiest to just cut the plastic around the tabs on the chassis and then pop up the tabs and the plastic glued behind it with a tiny flathead screwdriver to break the old glue.

Not ideal if you want to keep it pristine but if you're not worried about the resale value it's not the worst thing in the world.
I've got images up on the drive unit doc on how the internal gear assembly works and it can be found under clam-shells.

Update: yeah I just ended up doing what roxaclock suggested and cut the taps. Turns out one of the gears was misaligned so that was quickly sorted. It's working just fine now!
