I'm hoping someone has had this problem and fixed it, the problem is the TNA from before, he plays the theme, but he wont run, the motor doesn't try and its a different one, and the 2 black parts on the motherboard (the ones that stick out) overheat pretty badly, I got a burnt splinter of how bad it got, hope someone knows how to fix this

I am no wiring wizard but the first thing that came to my mind is if there are any Resistors involved with these TNA's?
only one in the battery car, I replaced the jumper
the tender engines have some more, but not thomas

I don’t if this is relevant, but there is a dedicated wafer type fuse somewhere hidden inside the chassis’ underside that is independent of the circuit board.
I have seen it.
My electronics friend found it and replaced it on a Japanese version of James for me years ago.

sooooooooooooooooooooooo, update!!! I swapped the motherboard with one I found for $5, it was a broken one I found at a flea market, so now I have an American TNA Thomas!!!!!!!
