ぜんじどう ふみきり Set

Found this amazing set by complete accident on Facebook marketplace.

Was going for 60 dollars, so I had to buy it.

Everything (yes, everything) is included, surprisingly. I expected a few missing pieces but everything worked fine!  Big Grin

Box is a little torn, but what matters is playability.

I haven't seen any of these pop up online, could anyone tell me this set's value?

Oh my....thats an oldie for sure and it included the car, what a great find Vik 👍
Yes, great buy. Well done.

You'll struggle to get a decent translation of ハイウェイぜんじどうふみきりセット using online resources.  A typical result would be " Highway Zenji Dofu Mikiri Set".

The problem is that for reasons known only to itself, the translator breaks down the characters ぜんじどうふみきり into three words, ぜんじ zenji, どうふ dofu and みきり mikiri, which in combination don't mean anything coherent.  Actually they are two words, ぜんじどう zenjido and ふみきり fumikiri, and if you translate them individually you get fully automatic and railroad crossing.

So, it's the Highway Fully Automatic Railroad Crossing Set.

The set dates from 1974, and appears on this page at the new Plarail Museum.

The car is a Datsun/Nissan Bluebird.

Thank you Dr Chris. I always forget about how great the 'New' Plarail Museum website is and a valuable resource for this hobby. ✔
Makes me wonder though, how did this end up in Brazil of all places? We have a ton of Japanese immigrants, so that might be the cause.
Also, this set popped up in 2017-ish.

I probably would have bought it for the station!

The station looks to be in very good condition. This one is sometimes hard to get a hold of. It is different than the other two stations that are similar, not as tall and if the bell works good a good deal.
