My Newest Arrival!

My brother is really into what I do with the trains and we bond over them when he comes over. I’m happy he got me them as my Neville stopped working.

Man both of those look incredible! Your brother's cool as heck for finding these two HiT models, and they're also not the easiest to find in a good condition, especially the Thomas Makes a Mess Thomas, Neville as well isn't that easy to find like that but it's really cool he still found them in a BNiB-esque condition and got them for you for Christmas.

Today I got a Dennis from Mercari the same seller I got my Rusty from and he costed a little more.

Pretty nice TOMY Dennis there, and he had both of the cars with the cargo so that's a bonus for sure! Like that custom R/C Diesel you have, and honestly I wanna know how you made such a contraption, must've taken a while. And I like the layout, don't have one myself given I just don't have a space for it at the moment.

WE GOT #112!!! And a Brand New Jersey too!
First, Boxed item #112 (95th BNiB):
--------------------------------------------

TrackMaster Castle Cargo Delivery from Fisher-Price in 2013!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Price: $14.99 (When I purchased it, now $12.99, Snag the second one while you can!)
Shipping: $6.53
Total: $21.52
Location: Zionsville, Indiana, USA
-----------------------------------------
And the Jersey I acquired was a NFL St. Louis Rams Dante Hall #82 Jersey, PLEASE go watch some of his highlights, he was an INSANE Kick/Punt Returner during his time with Kansas City, and partially St. Louis.
---------------------------------
So these two acquisitions made up the month of January, and gotta say, they're both pretty darn rare. Castle Cargo Delivery isn't exactly the most common item out there as Cargo and Cars packs go, and the Dante Hall Jersey was the only one available on eBay and luckily was in my size (and it was authentic too, all the details checked out to be a real jersey).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next acquisition though, is one that is next to impossible to find in a mint condition and I managed to get it for less than $30. So stay tuned for that when it arrives!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also can someone confirm if my Red Service Window Bulgy is the next one confirmed to exist (as in, how many have been confirmed since I got mine)? Because I remember seeing on one of Muddy's videos, HectorFan commented that he got one and Muddy said his was (at the time, in 2022 I think) to be the 6th one known to exist. So I believe mine might be the 7th one known to exist, but idk for sure, I'd really like to know given its rocky history and how it even came to be.

"'Hello Emily!' weeshed the new engine happily, 'My name's Whiff! Because I'm a bit smelly, you're going to help me collect garbage!!'"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TrackMaster Whiff from the HiT Toy Company in 2007!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Price: $22.99
Shipping: $6.36
Total: $29.35
Location: Batavia, Illinois, USA
--------------------------------------
Now with the acquisition of a HiT Toys Whiff, I now have what Muddy considered the Trifecta of Hard-to-Find in Mint Condition engines! I got Billy, Whiff, & Victor like this. And I also want to shout out Freddie as well, he's also got like a MILLION stickers too, yet I've got a Little Friends HiT Toys Freddie BNiB so I still have to look for a used one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also want to mention the Blue car is separate, I already owned it after getting it for Christmas of 2023, finally found something to pair it to but soon realized it's actually the car to Proteus, so the search for a Mint Proteus is (painfully, I might add) on! And I still have to get the green caboose for Billy, which is very easy to find considering HiT was the only company to make said caboose, and they're pretty much everywhere on eBay.

I always thought that Whiffs eyes with glasses was the most unique face of all the characters. Nice grab PJ 👍

He does indeed have a unique face Super, it's weirdly kinda cute too tbh.

Hey BPT. So I have actually acquired something today, but it is something I'm using to actually restore one of my used items, so I'm not posting it here seeing as I've already deconstructed it to use for restoration.
-----------------------------------------------
And this item I'm restoring is the Charlie in "Play Time" Charlie I acquired at the very start of 2024. After a long while, I realized there was a large problem with it that I've worked on to rectify it. And it's this absolute abomination of an axle that I saw in October 2024, 9 MONTHS after I purchased it, still can't believe I didn't see this:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you can't tell what that is, that is LAYERS of rust. Rust that was essentially caked all on the model's chassis, and this rust ran throughout the model even hitting the drive wheels on the motor. So I bought another Charlie with a similar motor and restored the heck out of it, getting to be super clean again and essentially swapping the chassis on both so the things' clean, but there is one problem I can't fix that I need someone here to tell me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do all TM1 Charlies motors' sound extremely noisy? I've swapped out the motor gears, the motors themselves, and screwed it back together, but whatever I do I can't get this motor to stop sounding so freaking noisy. And I think the problem doesn't lie in the gear on the motor, but on the twisty gear that the motor spins around when you turn the switch on. That kept on bouncing up and down after I tightened it back together and I don't exactly know how to fix that. So I was hoping someone here could tell me how to rectify that problem, or if that's not it, then I wanna know where DOES this noisiness lie within Charlie, I have seen some Custom TrackMasters videos on him repairing noisy Charlies but mine weirdly doesn't seem to shut up even after a gear swap. So if someone could tell me the issue, I would love it.

(P.S., the search for the flatbed has ended. I found a couple in some lots and I'm gonna try to separate it from those lots, and compile a truly original 2011 Den at the Dieselworks.)

I don't have a Charlie myself so I couldn't help to answer your question about Charlie noises and unless I could inspect him further couldn't help with a diagnosis either. Hopefully a Charlie owner here at BPT can help.

Great, you found yourself a Flatbed for Den 👍

Well I guess these problems seem to just fix themselves, because the only Charlie owner I needed to contact was myself, with 5 OF THEM! (Including 2 BNiB)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once again BPT, I don't have any new acquisitions just yet, but hey, I can now tell you all that I got my Charlie fully restored now. He now has a new gear that isn't loud as heck, and the base has been swapped, cleaned, and fixed with a much, MUCH better one without any rust. So that is very good news.

(On the bad side however, that flatbed for Den is now stuck behind a $200 paywall because the seller who has the lot listed doesn't want to break it up even after I offered them a deal to get just the flatbed and even the red boxcar too, they just messaged back "$199.99" with ZERO words, that was fun. Here's what the listing looks like, FYI this has been on eBay for 2 YEARS now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/234885650067?mk...vOeTUZ4%3D)

Hey BPT, I'm actually going to finally get a new item in a couple of days, and this is a character that while I own boxed (not BNiB), I don't have his HiT Toys version, and he usually comes with two freight cars, one with stone and the other with nothing. So that is where I'll leave you all off at, but I'll make sure to post what I get the day he comes!

Hey BPT, (Not attempting to quote Cam Newton here but...) IIIIIIII'MMMMMMM BAAAAAAAACCCCKKK!! With 2 new acquisitions!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First, here is the mystery character, and all his glory:

TrackMaster Stanley from the HiT Toy Company in 2008!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Price: $19.99
Shipping: $4.44
Total: $24.43
Location: Delaware, Ohio, USA
--------------------------------------
And the next item is another mystery item, as I got this one for getting straight A's on my report card this term! It was a shocker to me when my mom said she had a "mystery gift" for me.
-----
[Image: IMG-3061-1.jpg]
TrackMaster Skarloey from Fisher-Price in 2009!
----------------------------------------------------------
Price: $35.00
Shipping: $5.21
Total: $40.21
Location: Luttrell, Tennessee, USA
------------------------------------------
Finally, two ACTUAL new acquisitions to the collection! One literally being New (and Sealed)! Stanley did arrive a couple of days earlier than Skarloey, but he needed some cleaning, like, a lotta cleaning. Disassembling him was the hardest part seeing as one of the screws holding the motor down was stripped, so my dad took his drill, used about 5 or 6 different bits on it, and finally drilled the head of it off from the screw, then I popped the moto out and used a Leatherman tool's pliers to twist the screw out and it worked perfectly, no plastic was damaged. And then I went on to repair his inner workings, almost losing the screw that protects the terminal connection (the screw has a flat head and holds down a red cover inside the model, which shields the terminals and keeps them connected). So that was quite the process I went through, but I was zero stranger to it as I'd done motor restorations like this many times before, so I had the experience on hand already. I of course replaced the screw with a new one from an old Duncan in "Runaway Elephant" Duncan that had the same screws, so that is why both look really nice on the bottom (and NOT stripped to heck and back!). As for Skarloey, I was just surprised I even got him, as this is the first BNiB item I've gotten since the Castle Cargo Delivery back in January, so that was an incredible treat indeed (thanks mom!).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't know when the next acquisition will be, so stay tuned for it! But until then, Imma leave y'all the context
on the Cam Newton reference, here's the clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbf4FuvezZ8

Nice additions PJ. I am surprised as to the condition of Stanley as one of my visual clues to how well an engine has been treated is how shiny the front axle is especially the knob end and his axle looks good.

Looking at your Stanley makes me wonder why I haven't (or forgot) seen many customs of him around the Internet.
