Wow, and you have to apply the stickers yourself? Geesh I bet those window stickers are going to drive buyers wonky trying to get them on right. 😒

I must assume children in Japan have far more patience for stickers than those in the west. I can deal with them easy (All of the Shinkalions have plenty) but a kid who wants their toy NOW? Not happening.
Here is the new Yamanote commuter train:
Just look how ridiculous the middle car looks. What is this? A midget car? This is totally unacceptable. And the stickers! Everything you see - the front and back of the train, all the doors, and that green elements on the cars - they are all stickers! I think the worst are the doors. They maybe look alright in the pictures, but if you take the train in your hand, I'm sure you'll notice it's the sticker. And you have to apply them yourself. Disappointing.

Holy Cow!....thats a lot of stickers to manually put on. I would hope that they offer replacement sticker sheets for all those who screw up the installation of all those.
If they're going to make the carridge that short, at least attempt to make the lead and dummy shorter too...
dreaming of piles of track
So half of the windows are stickers and half not... "Great" design. And that coach is just no making it look good. I don't know anything about the prototype,but I wold expect to see a coach that is at least as long as the end cars
Also as a slight complaint, the driving wheels have a slightly different design I don't know if I counted right but there look to be 30 small, annoying stickers to put on... How fun! The magic of the GWR
@Chrisjo
Is that your C-12-50 (top picture)? The reason I ask is that it looks like it has a flat clear coat on it as the one I have is shiny black.
No, it's a picture I lifted from Platetsu, but I lightened it a lot to bring out the detail. This is the original...
