Removing faces off engines

7 Replies, 5125 Views

I wanted to put 3D molded faces on the rolling stocks that don't come with it.

The easiest way to accomplish my goal is o use faces from existing engines. For safety reason, it is not surprising that it is very hard to remove the face off thr engines.

I don't have time to examine every type of engine in my collection. So far I have identify one where a person can remove the face relatively easily.

All you need is a screw driver with the triangle head. Remove the gold cow catcher and face will come of easily.

I never knew Lexi’s face was that easy to get off, great work! The only downside is that her face is curved at the top, and most of the rolling stock characters in the show have rectangular faces.

Henrietta and another coach (coupled to the Italian Engine.  I can't remember the name at the moment) may work with Lexi face.

The ease of removing Lexi's face made it so easy to make my custom Old 21

Leyland, wasn't it you that also found that the Revolution wagon/trucks faces were also easy to remove?
yes, it was I who discover the faces on TM2 troublesome can be removed easily.
I thought you have to use some sort of tool to pull the Lexi face out.
