Made an observation on Hit Toy Company's original TrackMaster Designs seeing as they followed the production reference images very carefully.

Additionally this explains the face choice on some engines and why Arry and Bert have the faces they have and not the other way around.

Also image of Twitter conversation about Skarloey Railway Engines missing their rods when ThomasTankMerch got the props.

should've posted this a few months ago when all this was dropping but that confirms it (except rheneas but the other two basically confirm it)

I do like the look of Dukes face.
Rusty's face is based on the laughing face from S4 yet it's size is based on the size from S6 onward.
