The Grand Finale

And now we come down to the end of the Grand Finale (choke back the tears) As we started off the Finale with a much sought after trian (General Yoshitsune) so shall we end this run with this rare Green Noroko Tourist Train. Very rarely seen on the Japan auction site (at least by me) I was excited to nab this one. Love the colorful DE10 Diesel with appropriate drumheads front and rear. We also like the unique, long passenger coaches too.It is called the slowest train in Japan but perfect for site seeing in the Kushiro Shitsugen National Park. I am not positively sure but I don't think this was offered as just a 3 car set unless it was only offered at a gift shop for the train but I did see it once as part of a 3 Tomy train box. Anyone no more?

Well, there you have it, I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed showing it to you. The bulk of the "collecting" part of our journey is now over. Now its time to play, modify, fix and customize what we have. Hmmm...now I have to find something to fill all the time I have spent browsing the Internet for buys.

Hi TrainMan2001

Thanks for the suggestion. We were once into the Thomas line but have since moved on to what we have now. Smile

Wow! What a way to end this 'Grand Finale'! Or are there more hidden treats for us all to see in due time?

Hate to say you just happened to sneak this one away from me on Jauce.com; had my eye on it, but it got out of my price range in Japanese Yen!

I have seen a couple of these listed since I purchased this one over 2 months ago. I hope you do find one as it is a great looking train, quite different. As far as any future treats are concerned, besides a lot of various track and accessories not much in the way of trains we are interested in. But we do have something coming that was only available in an expensive unique set and when I saw one available by itself I had to snatch it up...really....I haaaad to. Big Grin

I'd wager it's a love for the line, model railroading, and railroading itself, Super! That's what it is for me! Big Grin

A little teaser...this purchase isn't really considered a train in my book. Big Grin
