Possibility of 2014 RC Stanley being released

Still, like I said previously: they had time to make a prototype AND a final version, unlike many other products (hit charlie, Flip face gordon etc.), so it does not seem that far off for it to have been sold.

R/C Stanley is not from 2014, but rather 2012.
The SKU# (X0754) is more in line with items from 2012 (e.g. X0763 Hideaway Luke) and the stock photo looks like it was taken alongside other 2012 items.
It was only discovered in 2014, which lead people to assume it was a new item for 2014.
Also, by 2014 TrackMaster had completely discontinued every original style r/c engine, instead making the ones with simple hand-held remote controls and no attached car.

The wiki used to say it was '14 so that's a bit annoying 
before we got confirmation of the RC I think everyone thought it was that weird "hand held" thing
the spooky stanley had the same cargo so it was all very confusing for everyone.

This rumor has gotten way out of hand, and really is time to “unstuck” it…
The story that this RC version of Stanley being released in France was started by BPT’s own Trevor369, and based on ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT PURE IMAGINATION. (As was his tale of “The bronze Diesel, and silver Percy” )
I don’t know why he said MANY of the things that he did when he was around, but for whatever reason, this completely made up fantasy tale has more than lingered, and was even repeated in Ton’s newest video…

You're right that this rumor is getting out of hand. I created that iceberg about 6 or 7 months ago, when I still thouht the rumor was possible.
As a matter of fact, that's the whole reason I started this thread: I caught wind of the france rumor and wanted to know why France and how did this rumor start and what the deal was, only to realize that it is not backed up by anyting (apart from the fact that stanley and the truck's colours make up the french flag)
Still, it would have been a really nice pack if it was released.
