Plarail Pokémon Trains

22 Replies, 11169 Views

So recently I noticed that there are actually a lot of plarail Pokémon trains, and it peaked my interest with me being a fan of Pokémon of course. I must say one of my personal favorites is the more American designed Pichu Bros train. Does anyone here have any of the Pokémon plarail trains? I don't see anyone having these too often. (image isn't mine)

That Pichu train looks delightful! I remember reading about this and several similar Plarail items on Suns' Thomas and Friends. Good blog!

In addition to the handful of older released Plarail Pokemon trains there is also this fairly newer wrapped commuter release (2018)

I wasn't even aware of what Pokemon was until I saw a Plarail engine so I am not a follower but in addition to the set you show I also have 2 different other sets
The newer one is cool, but is pretty tame compared to the others made with the license!

The one you have shown is hard to get a hold of in a boxed set but that gold plated one that Sunhuntin shows on their web page is much harder.
Yeah, most of them seem pretty hard to get. Would love to get one or two though!
I recall (at least) one of the old Pokémon sets actually having red flatbeds with LEGO like studs on top, even though they were made after Tomytrain (what we refer to as "Vintage TOMY") ended. Naturally, the figures also had holes for placement on the studs.

While looking for a good image of one such set, I just happened to find exactly what this thread needs: http://www.tomypokemonfigure.info/p/poke...ail-x.html
