I think it is about right…
If I were a collector and truly needed this missing piece, it would be worth every penny and any sacrifice to secure it.
It might seem like it’s about $300 over absolute top dollar, and that no train might be even worth $1500, but the last one that was listed sold for exactly $1500, was used, and was less than pristine.
This ones Bnib, it’s the first to be available in a very long time, and although there were only 110 produced, many have already been opened and played with, while others have simply been abused, so actually there are even far fewer than 110 untouched truly pristine examples that exist in the world…it’s a very VERY special piece.
Plus with the cost of inflation and the prices of everything from gas to groceries to lumber to pretty much living and breathing going straight through the roof, I guess that also includes the price of Silver Thomas too.
Play nice & have fun!!
maybe i should start make more youtube videos to help pay for this $2000 rare gem lol.
Wouldn't a new in the box, which looks in great condition, original Powerful Gordon be a rare find?
I saw that listing, and while the price seems steep, I found it more odd that they had so few photos. If I was charging that much, I’d make sure people could see photos of the still-sealed box etc.
