Here we have a Custom Daisy from a 3D Printed Daisy shell. What do you think? How did he do? Not sure where he got the shell printed from.
Daisy starts at the 5:00 minute mark.

the shell most likely came from shapeway.

I didn't realize how much those shells cost...wow.
That maker also lists a face too. Didn't a member here make that 3D drawing? It sure looks familiar.
Yeah, it was done by FlyingFordFalcon. If I remember correctly, I think Nigels also did some work on his own design for one as well.
Modeling the LNER (and some Thomas stuff) in OO Scale.
Ah, yes, it was FlyingFordFalcon, thanks T-Man
the creator of this video did confirm my suspicion. he got it from shapeway.

Yes, I did one as well, never uploaded it to Shapeways or similar though as these bureau's are just way over the top in terms of price. Mine I produced myself for one of our members. Here's a couple of pics of the early prototype, the final printed version was much better... ![]() ![]() I also produced a resin version at the end just to see how it would come out on a resin printer instead of the normal FDM type, was pretty good, just needs a couple of little tweaks if I were to do it for distribution, this probably wasn't the best colour resin for a test either lol; ![]() ![]() ![]()

The resin version is quite smooth.
More than the pictures convey, the translucent resin allows some supports on the inside appear to be marks on the outer shell lol!
If I get any white or grey resin I'll print one in that to illustrate what I mean. Although this shell could be painted and the windows left clear, should look really nice then ![]()
