Howdy ActionChugger!

That's certainly quite a collectable you've stumbled upon! It, much like the Track Repair/Maintenance-of-Way train set I have, is simply manufactured for a certain time period before it is no longer available to celebrate a milestone for the company!

Great catch!

I would not let him play with it keep it in the box or in a display case!

Very nice but no motor and they still used a battery cover? I would like to get my hands on some of those motor replacement plates to hold the wheels in place. That would be great for customizing an engine to become a trailing or back to back with a working one. Up to now I have had to cut down old motor housings. It is pretty though.
pretty!! i would put it in a case or cabinet to keep it dust free, since wiping dust can leave faint scratches.

wait,no motor?Huh
That looks so awesome and definitely made for keeping safe in box. Great buy! It looks like they love their Anniversaries, since I believe that a tin-plate train was also released that year, and a re-release of the first ever Plarail set.

looks like it.

I wonder if you can use swap the chassis with something similar like Dr. Yellow or something. I know Diesel 10 Chassis is compatiable with Boco Chassis.
