Custom Trackmaster Talking Flynn w/ Flashing Led lights

4 Replies, 6529 Views

While working on putting in a headlamp on Plarail Connor and Caitlin, i was going to add a pair of headlamps in Flynn.  I then realized i had some flashing red leds that i purchased for another project.  I figured i would give them a try and i think it turned out pretty well.  The Leds come on when the motor is engaged and go off when Flynn is lifter from the track (due to a safety sensor in the rear battery car).  (This will be on eBay soon, as it was built to sell, PM me or post in the trading zone if interested).  Thanks.

Thats awesome Ripley. How many volts does Flynn run with to drive two LED's?
Thanks Super. Flynn has 3 AAA that he uses. The LEDs are 2-5v I believe.

So I assume that the 3 AAA's are run in Series for 4.5volts?
Yep, all of it runs to the factory circuit board which controls how much goes to each component I believe. I have not measured it with a volt meter but it may only be around 2v at the motor/led lights.
