Billy - The Only...................

I picked up this Billy because it was for a very low price and it looked to be in great condition which it is. Since I haven't been able to score a new, in the box, Billy, he will be the one and only not new train in the Future World Collection.............for now. I really like his Buffers as they are more real like ones you see on an HO engine. I believe and please correct me if I am wrong, Billy is the only engine with these type Buffers...right?

Nice little loco Super, not sure about the buffers on other models, but they are more realistic than the usual half hearted attempts Smile

I have one of my locomotive tubs out so will have a look later, my Billy has a very faded sticker now sadly lol.
Whiff's buffers are almost identical.. Murdoch's and Neville's are a bit smaller but very similar.

Thanks for the comparison pictures Muddy.

I would say that that the closest match to Billy's buffers are those front ones on Whiff. The difference, I think, with Billy's and the rest, is the dome part being more rounded and thinner on its edges and possibly the circumference which makes the shaft behind it look smaller. I tell you what...I want Billy's style buffers on all Plarail trains and rolling stock from now on. That includes all Thomas and Friends and the Japanese replica's including the steamers...are you listening Plarail...[Image: happy-yes-smiley-emoticon.gif]
