I Hate DHL! (Update: Forgive)

I hate DHL.

I was waiting all day for my package that DHL said would be delivered today from Japan that had my Plarail Ashima and 5 Caitlins. I stayed in the house because I didn't want to miss the doorbell or knock. I had been checking Online all day for the status of the package and when I checked at 4:00 PM it said it was delivered at 3:35 PM. Checked all around the house, no package. No doorbell rang or knock at the door. So I immediately called DHL and they got back with me within an hour to say that when the carrier gets back to the station they will have an investigation into where exactly he delivered the package to and if he delivered to the wrong address they will go back and try to retrieve it. I certainly hold out no hope for that happening. They also said if they delivered it to the wrong address and can't retrieve it they will contact the seller and file a report with them. I am not holding my breath on that either as why would the carrier even say he delivered to the wrong address and get into trouble. Then with DHL saying they delivered what chance is the seller going to refund because DHL said they delivered it....this sucks...not only that I may get stiffed for the whole thing, missing out on having these trains, but I wasted a whole day waiting so as not to miss the delivery.... sucks. They are supposed to get back with me tomorrow so now I probably will waste another day tomorrow and as luck would have it, I have a Dentist appointment and may miss their call.....sucks.

Do you still remember you mailed a set of elevated tracks several years back? That shipping company brought out DHL. When i called that shipping conpany, they said they couldnt locate my address. I told them it is impossible as my local mail service is able to deliver parcel. Aftwr back and fortg for four tjmes, i finally got my package.

An hour ago I found my package at my doorstep as I had been working in the back yard and didn't get to see when or who finally dropped off the package. It could have been the Delivery Person returning to correct their mistake or possibly by an honest neighbor that the package was mistakenly delivered to. Please don't do this to me again DHL. At any rate I am happy that I have these trains now in my hands...hurray!.

I did the same exact thing yesterday!!
The Amazonjapan site said it was arriving, so I stayed home and didn't work... but then I checked the DHL website tracker that said Wednesday, so after waiting most of the day, I finally went to work around 4:30!!
DHL does suck though...they are like the Taco Bell of delivery services.:/

At least the parcel actually made it to you.

One time I had to drive an hour just to get to a courier depot to pick up my parcel. The driver forgot to leave the parcel at the depot. The staff there said, it was my responsibility to call ahead to ensure the parcel is at the depot. To make the story short, I ended up yelling at the supervisor. He arranged his driver to come back to the depot as I wasn't going to make another 2 hour trip to pick up an item.

I forgive them too, even though thier system completely sucks for tracking, considering that Amazonjp said yesterday, and DHL said Wednesday (Tomorrow)(which I had already had to make plans for making sure I would be home tomorrow to receive it)...just so glad that I was home when he showed up a 6:30pm!!
They arrived today, I guess a day early...The box was a bit more beat up than I'm use to seeing from Japan, but inside everything was fine...so I guess we're cool DHL.
