it is a motorised carriage but i don't know why a carriage should be motorised or what it belongs to, sorry that the picture is poor. can anybody help please?
Motorized???...doesn't look motorized to me. Where is the on/off switch and traction tires?
apologies, reading the ad properly it says 'goes onto motorised carriages - not motorised itself'

do you happen to recognise it please?
Well it looks to be very similar to the Shinkansen Tsubasa but the color band is a bit different. Have to look into a bit different series.

yes that looks right, thanks - why does the ad say it goes with motorised carriages though, doesn't make much sense really. well, not to me anyway.
Well they maybe calling the engines carriages or maybe they don't know. You have my curiosity. I have seen this type before but can't place it. Will look further.
I can't find anything right now but I feel that I have come across motorised carriages before - is there a steam train with a motorised tender, i'm a bit confused.
Here it is... Ripleys 1999-2000 Plarail Catalog but the picture looks to show it as a 1992 release...

EDIT:
There are some motorized coaches in the Thomas line like Mighty Mac and some motorized Tenders like Hank, Murdock and Molley off the top of my head. In the Plarail Steamers the C57 comes to mind with a motorized Tender.
well done.

what do you make of this please?

Might be Trackmaster Harvey's as Plarail Harvey had a yellow one like this...I think. Others can correct me as I am not the all knowing on the Thomas trains or characters.
