Our Jealousy Purchases Arrived

Our Jealousy box of treasures arrived today from Japan. Smile

Why jealousy you ask? Almost everyone of these items I purchased because other members here have posted they bought them and I was jealous and wanted them too.

* The Yellow DD51 was posted by Sunhuntin and we really liked the looks of it. Hmm...might swap out the these gray wheels with the yellow ones on the burgundy DE10 we have. Wonder how that will look?

* A brown box car was posted by Gerisplarail1 and they were so life like to the ones here in the States that we had to have some. Think I will detail them up some. Maybe try my hand at rusting & weathering.

* Because of Toy-Trains-Things collection and YouTube video we had to add the red Mickey Mouse Steam Locomotive Western Railroad unit to the other 2 we had. Why buy 2 of them you ask? It was actually a mistake, I had forgotten I had put in an opening bid on one auction of about 550 yen and bid on another one listed. Wouldn't you know it? I won the one I was bidding on and got the forgotten one too. It turns out good, as now I have an second coach and one engine and tender I can strip for parts and for other mods.

* The Marine Liner was not a jealousy purchase, I wanted to find one of these very cheap because I am going to strip some things from it for a mod I am thinking of doing on another train of ours.

* The new C12 yellow and black zebra striped trains jealousy came from a recent purchase from Gerisplarail1. Like the look of the yellow stripes front and back. Not fond of the red wheels so they may have to be swapped out with black ones. Nice brown and blue passenger coaches are a bonus for sure.

* On to the last item, one I didn't think was possible. Jealousy was created by Ucwepn's Quick Run YouTube Video of the C11. After watching that the hunt was on and I never thought that I could procure a new, in the box, set. Bonus is the blue coach and what looks to be a pretty neat dummy blue DE10 Diesel for the rear. According to the picture on the back of the box, the engines shell pops off and inside there is a seat for a Plakid between 2 diesel engine replicas. pretty cool set.

So keep it up all...the more you post and make me jealous the more I have to buy. You see, its not my fault...I have a disease and I can't stop.

[Image: laughing-dog-smiley-emoticon.gif] Maybe we ought to change the title of this thread to the "Make Me Jealous" thread.

Yeah the d51 is the loco I'm most jealous of, what great colour scheme, why didn't they make more? The other one I really like is the wasp strips old c12, our old c12 is one of our favourite runners, both c12 & dd51 have fantastic quiet transmissions,

I immediately noticed how smooth the DD51 was when I tested it.

I have noticed through the box window that the C11 has a nice middle wheel where as his brother the C12 has none. In the Tomy line, which came first, the C11 or C12?

C12 came first my friend!
C11 is a one off limited release. and C12 has been a normal Plarail toyline mainstay since way way back. I will have to look at the catalogs to see how far back i can trace the C12!
