With sincere apologies to 783Merlin for completely hijacking his thread....
The snowplow train arrived and the DE-10 in my set has a detachable body shell. The chassis has seats in the middle (which obviously work better for the DD-51) and the seller even included the Plakid from the set. FWIW, this engine is marked DE-10 1700, which may help distinguish it from the version with the glued on body shell.
EDIT: Sorry, it looks like the shell WAS originally glued down and the previous owner modified it to be removable. TL;DR- I was wrong!
