I was able to get Toby and one of the D10 back going tonight. They both had cracked gears.
I then thought "well those went smooth, let me take a peak at the other D10.."
Wow.. that was a doozy... Not too bad actually just not seen this before on a TnA engine. So it was reported that it was seezing up and clicking, possible clutch broken. Well, sir, you were spot on.
As mentioned I had not seen this before with the clutch gear cracked. I scavenged one from a TnA James gearbox that was opened anyway, looked it over, and would you believe it, same dang thing..., what the heck, two with the same issue and I had not seen this before, what are the odds. Well off to another TnA James gearbox, this one was intact. Actually I was thinking maybe it wasn't cracked and designed that way but then after seeing the "good" one, I conceded.. There was a second gear as well that was cracked. Back to the sacrificed James.. haha...
Second D10, all back together, tested, and working well now.
Here are the bad gears. I forgot to take a pick of the good ones, but you can see the crack in these.
