This Pokemon Train???

Does anyone know if this Pokemon train came in a set and if so, what that set might be?

Thats a pretty compact set, is it yours? Is that a brown battery compartment door I see?

This one is mine. It is rather odd, but all of the train, trees, and track fit within compartments on the set. The brown door has a spot for the trees/track. The sides have e larger bays for the train and other track. Pretty cool design. I actually won som additional cars too at one point so I think I have 4 or 6 of them.

Sounds like you need more of the Pocket Monsters then. I am trying hard to find a video but all I come up with is the brown Pokemon train or the red western train style one.

Yeah, Nigel found some on eBay for very cheap, but I had not gotten anymore yet.

I am not sure if this one is rare or not but I think when I initially posted I won it Sun had not seen this one before. I could not find much info on it either.

I agree, I have seen the train before but your complete set is the only one I have seen too.

It is quite a nice train and the sets do come up occasionally. Interestingly it is pretty much modelled on one of the older Takara sets. That took the form of a similar track that packed away into a self contained folder, that also had compartments in the ends/top for buildings, trees, the bridges and most importantly some special pieces of track. The reason for the latter being important was that it was designed to be used either self contained or you could use these 'spur lines' to integrate it into a larger Takara layout using the normal track and accessories also Smile
