Did you select the color Sun? I see they don't have a very in your face reminder when something else is need to add to the cart like big bold red letters
yes, i went with multi color. was going to do the same as nigels and get color and clear.

just tried it again, and nada. will work something else out. i dont like that they dont have paypal, either. might see if ebay has the same things.

found them on ebay, so thats a relief. will go there when i can afford to.

Sun

They take PayPal (see picture). I didn't have trouble trying to order through the Cart. I first clicked on 'Multicolored Changing' then clicked on the quantity I wanted, clicked the 'Add to Cart' and it worked. On sale at a low price it seems.

What you need to do Sun is select the item you want and quantity, plus any options then click on 'add to cart' you'll get a little pop-up with 'continue shopping' or 'check out' (or similar can't remember the words).

If you click continue shopping you can add more items. Then when you're ready to check out just click on the little shopping cart, select the address to send to and click buy now at the bottom and it will confirm the payment type etc...

It seems to work for me alright Smile

BTW - Another 24 hours and the white LED is still going strong, that is 112 hours so far lol!! Another few hours and it will be 5 days of constant use!! Unbelievable!

Ok, well two updates, the 'white' light has managed at least a week now of constant running (who would have thought it).

Secondly here is a picture of the contents of the multicoloured flashing LED;

I was quite surprised how easy it was to get it open, basically the two parts of the ball are just pressed together with just friction holding them closed. So judicial use of a modelling knife to lever the two parts apart and bobs your uncle its open.

Inside there was simply the two batteries, a small spring to push them all together for a good contact and just the bare LED - so the flashing multicolour one must have the control circuitry built into the LED (amazing!).

Anyway you have two choices you could either just add wires to the legs of the LED and wire it to a battery/switch, or if you want to continue using the ball put two new batteries in it Big Grin

Simplicity at its best, great experimenting Nigels and those batteries lasting that long is a testament to new battery technology and the fact that LED's use very little power.

Indeed it is, they are still good value for money though, i wouldn't want to make those things, ship them for free and still expect to make a profit at about 10p per unit (~13cents). BTW - The white one was as of this morning still running, so that's 8 days and counting lol...

Ok, I finally got round to uploading a small video of the 'balls' in action, I meant to do this ages ago, but well got a lot on Smile

But what probably prompted it is my latest purchase, some 'EL Wire' and controller. This little bundle of wire is 3 metres long (about 10' in old money) and cost all of $3.01

However the best part of this gizmo is that it is very flexible and can be bent to any shape you want, in fact some people use it to decorate clothing (think nerds and comicon Smile) but one use that springs to mind is to use it to make miniature 'neon signs' for you railways...

It can be gotten in various colours or lengths, can display permanently on or flashing as can be seen in this video. The controller takes two AA batteries to power it...
