On a more serious note, I do often wonder when collecting becomes hoarding. I had business dealings with a man some years ago who was quite wealthy but seemed to have crossed a line between collecting and hoarding. He had a small staff and a pretty large house, so the worst excesses were kept in check. Also, the stuff wasn't just junk but amazing and expensive antiques and artwork. His house was dark and gloomy but the downstairs was maintained. The upstairs was full of junk as well as expensive rugs, furniture and other items. I recall a room with paperwork and magazines scattered around along with a brass HO locomotive, all left on top of an expensive oriental rug. Definitely an odd situation! I would define hoarding as a mass accumulation without any organization. Buying up things simply as self endulgence, only to be unappreciated and quickly forgotten.
Play nice & have fun!!
I just received the shipping information on what was to be the second shipment for my hoarding depression purchases......I bought so much track stuff and accessories that they couldn't put it in one box.....they had to put it in three.... OMG.... I hope they arrive on the same day...sure glad these are my last purchases forever

That seems like a very reasonable definition!
And do I spy a later production C battery powered C12? Amongst all the other cool stuff, that one immediately stood out to me!

Yes but unfortunately it had a bit of battery corrosion on the negative terminal and after I cleaned that off with vinegar it almost broke off. Guess the corrosion was holding it together as it worked before the cleaning. Have to check to see if I have another chassis if not she will be for parts. She wasn't what I was after in that Lot so no loss there.
Like the purchases. Very surprising that the track parts had to be split up into 3 boxes. Emily's coaches are ver nice and are the same model as old slow coach. Why did you get the metallic 60th anniversary Thomas or did it just come in a lot that you purchased and it was one of the highlights?
some nice stuff there, super! i also love those disneysea sets, but never seem to have the money for them.
i do fear my collecting has collapsed into hoarding, as the organisation is no longer there. i simply have too much track and not enough space to keep it tidy. i really should look into selling some bundles of track, but it doesnt seem to sell for much, unfortunatley.

Just a guy with too much money, I'm beginning to wonder if he is actually Trump under an alias!!
Happily collecting things all my life...
I have heard a rumor that AC actually doesn't exist...well as far as in the form we think he is. You see Evan is a Child Prodigy and he has actually hired a team of employees that. together, make up the individual we know as AC.
I cant keep up with you guys anymore!
I'll admit it, I am a collector/hoarder. I buy stuff, BOTH EVAN (MY SON) and I play with it for a few minutes, then it goes into a storage bin after a week. LOL.
I am glad that once in a while He will ask to play with Plarail and combine them with the Lego sets
