Yes that is the box! The picture is exactly what I open up to find...They bounced around inside unprotected, catching the corners on that inside lip the entire journey!!Sad the guy was a complete tool.

Jesus..that box is absolutely huge...surely he could've walked down the street and picked up a copy of the newspaper to help you out..

Unfortunately for him he did earn himself only the 3rd negative feedback that I have ever given out of the 335 eBay transactions I have made...
With only 600+ sales, his 100% status was reduced down to 99.3%
Not only a lazy seller, but incredibly dumb as well.

Did the seller charged you shipping?

Muddy! You're so cruel and strict! (although these are generally signs of a perfectionist) Big Grin

I consider anyone selling things online to be:

- very good if the things arrive in perfect working conditions with other bonus items.
- good if the things you want actually arrive and are in working order and box is undamaged.
- decent if the things you want are in working order and the box is slightly damaged.
- bad if the things you want are defective.
- terrible/liar if the things don't arrive.

I've had purchases from all sorts of sellers from the above descriptions and in between.

In my opinion, at least this person had the product to start with and actually sold you the items. What if the person didn't even send the items and Paypal decided not to support you on your side? I can imagine you calling the seller a criminal! Smile

The cat and mouse game went on for nearly 4 weeks...I had to beg him to understand why brown wrapping paper wouldn't work..( it's not a pound of veal)
Days past without a response...
Then, he couldn't find a box?
COULDN'T FIND A BOX!?!? (Cardboard is one of the most readily available substances on the planet!)
Days past..
Then he said he'd ship it with some other things as a gift for the past week of no response, and ALSO pack it up well with bubble wrap and packing paper, WITH tracking and insurance.
Days passed...
Then it showed as "shipped" BUT without tracking...
Days passed...
Then the delivery date came and went...
I then asked if there was a tracking number?
Days passed...
Then he said yes but couldn't find it, would look around and send it...
Days passed...
Again I asked if he'd had any luck finding the number?
Days passed no response...
All these days passed into weeks until 28 days into the transaction, and with not a single reply or any idea where the package might be, I was forced to open a case to protect myself on my end...another week later it showed up just as the picture shows!!
NO packing material, loose bouncing around the world for a month!!
I didn't ask for, or want any bonus items, just the items securely packed and shipped in a timely manner. Not to be jerked around and lied to, or to have very valuable old commodities damaged out of sheer vindictiveness.
The guy was playing games with me..I can take crap from a jerk, but what is unacceptable is he damaged mint boxes that cannot be replaced just out of spite because I insisted they not be shipped in wrapped in brown paper..
The guy has some serious issues to make up the story that he did.
So, I don't understand why you think I am cruel? If you go out of your way as a seller to purposefully and vindictivly monkey up a sale, negative feedback should be expected.

Yes over $30 just to ship too.

I must also add, that I have been an active eBay member since 2009 (8 years), and have averaged over 40 transactions/interactions per year...
I have had many poor experiences throughout those years, many questionable discriptions, shady practices, and not so friendly service. Whenever I have encountered a not so professional seller, my general policy of practice is to simply leave no feedback at all, and write it off as a loss, and a lesson learned. Only 3 times out of all those transactions have I encountered people who's outright dishonest lies , unprofessional demeanor, or intentional actions were to the degree of the CRUEL that I believe you are referring to...
I am always a very friendly and polite ebayer...and any messages that I have ever sent to an eBay seller has alway began with "Hello", used "please's" and ended them with "thank you" & "Sincerely".

Oh whoops! I thought it was free shipping. Since you paid for the shipping and it cost USD$30, then I have to say you are too nice. Even free shipping within Japan is better than that. Most of the free shipping items I buy that are shipped from Japan come in the best packaging and also include free tea or items. Big Grin

How did you even have the patience to wait 28 days?

Update: After explaining to the seller that I was a vintage toy collector, the value of these old commodities in thier pristine condition, and pleading with him to find a box and bubble wrap to ship them, then being lied to that he had, only to have them arrive loose and damaged, and after opening a claim w/ eBay, the seller finally responded with this:

I called eBay, as it was pointless to continue any further communication with this crazy nightmare seller... I WAS AWARDED A FULL REFUND!!! Big Grin
....AND I get to keep the items!!!Big Grin
