Wow, that is a fantastic scratch built model Bollard. Quite the likeness of the real building. Have you done more of these as you seem to have developed a talent for building them.

I did several buildings a few years ago out of interest but then it seemed rather pointless because i wasn't doing anything with them but i might get back into it again as my main interest, a couple of old motorbikes. is beginning to wane. I forget the scale that we decided suited plarail/tomy, was it around 1.70? It's easier to operate straight off scale rules for me, 1.50 and 1.100 being common but anything is possible. I know a bloke who is truely brilliant at model making, unbelievably at n scale, which is tiny. here's one of his.

i think so broadly, maybe plasticard. he uses fine sandpaper to get the rendered finish then paints it and makes the tiles individually, he gets the effect although they are, of course, a larger scale than they should be.
