Yes she is pretty. This version is close to the EF81 that came in a set with a DD51 and sleeper cars however I think your example is older.

also like the look of this, again be interested to know how old it is if anybody knows. currently on eBay too. Love the headlights but difficult at add to unless you have the intervening coaches.

I was just going by the looks as the yellow wheels and tan/ivory colored chassis looks like the older Plarail trains.

I don't know for sure as I couldn't locate one but since it has headlights I would reckon its after 2000. You may want to peruse Ripleys fabulous Plarail Yearly Catalog Collection to find these trains and the year they were released. It starts at the 1999-2000 Catalog to the present although that version of the red EF81 may have been released before 1999 https://www.blueplastictracks.com/showth...6#pid26856

Update: I bought the JAPAN RAIL EF81 as the price got reduced

very pleased with it - cheerful quirky design, simple and fun, great

guess what, there was a date on the underside - 1979! so that's 38 yrs old
Good for you Bolla, I have bought quite a lot of items in the past from Ambers-Alcove and have always been pleased with them.
