That is hilarious.
I'm half expecting someone to do the same with an 'Authentic' Silver Percy, like the Wooden Railway range did some time back. Heck, I might even do so myself, I have enough Percys :p

Although... if someone did put a bit of effort into a custom, preferably of a character not readily available for Tomy/Trackmaster, I'd swoop it up in a heartbeat.

"Gold Thomas fever" has driven many a collector mad!!..including myself!! Not the first we've seen, or unfortunately last. If they would have hit the underside and rotated the wheels they might have even fooled a fool!?!?

I would but I have a strict rule for Thomas stuff which I only buy for the Future World Collection and that is...it has to be new in its original box...otherwise, for sure I would grab it. I am sure if I save it that in about fifty years it may be worth as much as.......50cents, shipping included. Big Grin

To be fair, I was thinking it doing a metallic version of James, Henry, Percy, Gordon, and Edward, but have never gotten around to it. I would plan to sell them too but would clearly state they were customs.
