Well to be fair it probably is limited, so limited in fact that there's probably only one in existence as it is so darn awful lol!!
I can't believe anybody would be stupid enough to think that was a genuine limited gold Thomas - mind you maybe AC doesn't have one of these in his colection? :p

Man, that sucks worse than is as awesome as the "limited edition Tom Moss" I saw a while back! I think I'm missing out on a real business opportunity here. Old engines + cheap spray paint = $PROFIT$!

if you look at the last photo on the posting, the person did a lousy job spray paint. I can see the blue paint on the wheels.

At first I was thinking maybe the pair had rubbed off, but yeah they clearly just missed that entire spot..

It looks like they didn't even to bother to take him apart, just masked off his face and spray. Even the coupling and on/off switch are sprayed too.

THAT'S what made me grin! The "artist" just hosed it down with a can of spray paint without even an attempt at basic disassembly! Heck, he didn't even move the wheels to hit the bare spots!
Oh, and there's the "I am an honest seller" line in the description. Ummm.... okay...!
I suppose you will get the item pictured at the price you paid and in the timeframe promised. But the description is a bit misleading, wouldn't you say?
