a forum is like this site, where more than one person talk and interact about a common topic.

I am a bit confused ...at first you say "i have something coming to my door." which I assumed you already bought this item, then you say "the opening bid is 3000usd" which now makes me think you haven't bought it, only hoping you win the auction. So which is it?

Now I am really curious as to what item would start out with a $3,000.00 bid. I really don't see anything in these toys that would be worth that much to demand that high of a starting bid unless its like Muddys Gold Thomas.

Yes Super I must concur....
I would rather not play a "guessing game".
Unless it is a BNIB Gold Thomas, or a prototype one of a kind item, I really don't think there is anything in this range that is worth the $6000 you say you're about to shell out for it... Perhaps some of the other members here on BPT could help in evaluating it's rarity/value before you commit to such a hefty purchase?

And the gold Thomas that is currently listed which doesn't have the box is at 40,000¥ or close to $400. Maybe there is a conversion discrepancy with the item Trevor mentioned?

no! 3,000! thts minimum. this is a VERY private circle. i am 1 of 4. so far at least. thts why my posts have been erratic. this will get worse from me as i try to string deals.
in addition, if it gets close for me... dont be surprised if i sell anything here or elsewhere. everything i own is expendable.
