do you lubricate the wheels of your trucks and coaches please? and, if so, what with, 3 in 1 oil?

I have never lubricated any of my rolling stock or engines. Do yours have stiff or squeaky wheels by any chance?

not especially but since i have bought second hand some seem rather worn and slightly wobbly, just seemed a sensible idea to lube them but i'm not sure what with.

I would stay clear of your oils if you can because they attract all sorts of dust, hair, lint and all. If you can see if you can find a spray can of a dry silicone or dry slide that will lubricate without gathering the dust. One can would last a lifetime. If you have no other alternative than oil then use as little as possible on the axle where it meets the wheels and wipe away any excess. It would help if you could remove the wheels so as not to get oil in other places.

i have used just a basic model engine oil on several of a friends little boys trucks. seems every time he brings them along to a running night at the club, one will squeak.
i cant stand high pitch sounds like that, so am quick to snaffle the offending item and put a drop of oil.

none of my own seem to have the issue, but if they did i would use the engine lube i have for inside my engines. its more of a solid compound than a fluid, so easy to get a tiny amount on.

I've used silicon spray before.

took a chance with Zip Oil, couple of the wagons weren't running well, had to do something, wiped off all excess with a dry cloth, here's hoping that it works out.
