Huge Score.. TOMY and Trackmaster, my largest find to date!!

Well as you can likely tell from the title, this is the largest Trackmaster/Tomy lot I have purchased. Where you may ask? Well I was off work today to go to the worlds longest yard sale. This runs for several hundreds of miles and you can usually find some great deals. Last year I found two boxes of trains and track, both Trackmaster and Wooden railway. Ironically last year it was my first stop where I found it. The rest of the trip I found really nothing.

Anyway. I did not get a chance to get to to many as I needed to head to run some errands, but I got in a few hours anyway. The place where I found this lot was an unsuspecting Appartment complex. I wasn't going to stop, but saw some toys so I went ahead. I saw some Thomas books so I thought, hmm. I wonder if there are any Trackmaster, Plarail, etc..

I came across a large bag which was stuffed to the brim fill or trains. I was in disbelief and decided it was mine to have. The seller said they were $2 ea. I spot checked in the bag and again was pretty shocked. All were Trackmaster and Tomy, no revolution. As you can see below from the pictures there are some very nice "Rare" items in there. Some o will be keeping but will likely be selling most off in an effort to buy more Plarail from Japan.. Big Grin. There are some wooden and take-n-play as well which will go.

So here we go. I am not going to list them all, but there are around 45 engines, 40+ rolling stock, and several of the takeNplay and wooden ones. $80 is what I paid for the lot. I think I can easily double it while still hanging on to several.

If anyone can help me with the scenery items on the second picture that would be great. I was thinking the went with the road vehicles but couldn't remember what went with what?

Let me know what you think.

LOL...that Lost and Found Hiro by itself would get your money back. What a fantastic find. Wish I had the patience to stop at Yard sales but even if I did I don't carry mush cash with me so I couldn't buy anything if I wanted.

Thanks guys. Yes the Lost and Found HIRO is one of my favorites. This is my third one I have and I sold another one awhile back that had some issues. This one is in nice shape and had the accessories with it which I did not have. If fact, one of first posts/threads which got me hooked on BPT was asking for advice on replacement plastic flip pieces that were broke.

I am headed back out tomorrow. Hopefully I can find some more. Big Grin

Yes!! Great scores Ripley!! What is the lowdown with the two Rosie's? The colors are a drastically different shade, but both have cab windows and white painted decks, (The Fisher Price version has neither), though only one has painted gold detailing stripes across the boiler? One is obviously a HitToys, but is the the other a Tomy??
Play nice & have fun!!Smile

Yep, I noticed that too. One is Tomy and the other HIT. I had a Rosie, but was not is the best condition. I will have to take a look at that one too and see what it is. Is the Tomy one more rare or something?

Are you telling me Everything in the photos came from one large lot? If so, congratulations on finding the sale these treasures were found at in the first place. This certainly is a very interesting mixed collection of both Tomy and early TrackMaster, and it doesn't seem logical to me that all these items (as well as the non-pictured ones) came from the same house.

I see the Lost and Found Hiro also has his Steamworks sign and engine parts in perfect condition (I don't ever recall seeing what they looked like). Pity about Buster's missing roof, though.

The three signals and water tower didn't come with road vehicles. I have that same water tower from the "Thomas at the Coal Station [sic]" set, which also came with a signal box. I can't tell what that is between Oliver (excavator) and the water tower.
