My Best Score Yet?

Ok, so you guys already know I like my Takara PokeTrains, basically similar to Tomy PlaRail, but an older system from Takara before they merged with Tomy.

But this has to be the best bundle I've ever got in one go, rather than ramble I'll let the pictures do the talking;

A bit of track, to give you a clue, there are over 100 standard straights, 20+ sets of points, etc... Including some coloured ones I've never seen before which are still stamped Takara on the bottom;

Scenery items including an elevator station, train shed, 7 tunnels (6 concrete, 1 hill), catenary posts, 6 station platforms, 3 types of track supports, etc...

Some more unusual track pieces, such as slopes, curved slopes, buffer stops, signals, turntable, etc...

Trains, lots and lots of trains...

and a couple of special trains, a 23 (yes count them 23) car 500 Shinkansen, 7 car E2 Max, 3 passenger cars to extend one of the others above, 3 goods wagons

Finally the train and the single car 'tram' from the 'container city' set, not shown is the actual set its from (which was included), one of the layouts in a folder, 3 track crossings and a few other bits and pieces Smile

My god. That is an amazing win. Congrats
I AM NOT DEAD. Just inactive.
It is almost an entire set of the Takara PokeTrain range, there were even a couple of locomotives I hadn't got and one (of the steam locos) I wasn't aware even existed...

Definitely made my day to win that (on a Japanese auction) even if the shipping was expensive!! Big Grin

Wouldn't it make anyone's day to win a lot that big! Is that Jr500 a 16 car set?

There's actually enough cars to make a 23 car train, not sure how long the full real one is, but 16 sounds more likely Smile

The nice thing is I can take centre cars off some of my other shinkansens I have dupes of to make a longer version of those by using some of the 500 chassis as they are all a consistent size Smile

Thanks mate and before you ask yes I did get it at the opening bid price which was a bit of a surprise. I suspect people never looked at the second picture and saw the locomotives bundled with it. The shipping was painful though as the bundle weighed nearly 22kg!! But on the plus side the winning bid was low enough that I didn't get done for customs so it still worked out very well cost-wise overall Big Grin
