It all arrived yesterday, I only just today finished checking the loco's to make sure they run - bearing in mind they are at best 13 years old as they were only available during 2002-3. Out of 41 there are only 4 with issues, two of those have corroded battery terminals, the other two probably have a broken wire - this seems to be the problem if you ever get one

Today was my other arrival, a pair of the new Tomy Advance EVA 500's, a new AS17 'Yamanote Line' E235 suburban, one of the new fancy auto dispatch station things (the ones that hold an advance loco and then release it as the next arrives) and a set of the new advance specific track with the new curves etc... I got all this from Amazon.co.jp through 'From Japan'. There was also in the box another auction lot of Kansai DX Trains, these are again older discontinued train systems, but are allegedly compatible with blue tracks

Nice one, given all the JR500 centre coaches I have now along with several normal JR500 trains I already own I'm seriously considering trying to repaint some into the EVA pattern. I'm going to give it some thought, but if I do it is unlikely to happen until September when I'm due some time off so I'll have the time to do it properly

Talking of the EVA, Hobbysearch have the Bandai B Shorty version on pre-order now
