Hey Ripley

Were did you get that neat digital caliper? I have three but they are all the old fashioned kind.

Harbor Freight, and it was on sale for like $10

I believe this is the one. If you have them in your area check out the store or a flyer and they may have it on sale again or they typically have 20% off coupons too.

Many thanks Ripley, I am not sure they are in my area as I don't recall hearing that name before but I will check them out. With my eye site it sure will be nice not having to squint at graduation lines and try to figure what the fractions are.

Yeah, in most cases. They are similar to the TnA in the setup. The tender (in this case Annie) with the 3 batteries, switch, etc... Is basically the same. The bad thing is the battery terminals. I have yet to find a suitable replacement for those. Sometimes they can be cleaned up and get them looking like new again but sometimes they are so pitted and lost the nickel plated coating that they are no good. I have some spare parts for the America version, like the wheels, circuit board, etc..

Biggest thing I have seen in these has been either cut wires where the train moves but there is no sound or steam and then the severe case where all of the batteries are corroded.

Let me know and I would be happy to help.

I got one almost identical next day off Amazon for less than £10, could have got one for even less if I'd been prepared to wait for it Big Grin

Thanks for the pics and measurements Mr Ripley, I only just seen them, I'll see what I can do over the weekend Smile
Happily collecting things all my life... Big Grin
