This bizarre train track optical illusion will mess with your mind. Of course we this happen every time we try to use the same curves to run a side by side rail in our layouts but its neat to see this guy freaking out about his kids toys.

Days after reading this and being amazed, I remembered I knew this all along. .-. In the videos, they look SLIGHTLY longer than normal! I swear! ;w;

Still haven't painted FFF's Daisy lol sorry my guy (i promise I'll get that airbrush kit soon)
It is also a trick to the eye where things closer appear to be bigger than a same sized item further away. Magicians use this trick a lot as well in the movie making industry. I would imagine if this were filmed from directly over the track pieces you would see it differently where they look the same.

Since this thread is about curve tracks....
How many types of curve tracks are there??

I was sorting through my tracks and I found I have 3 types Dodgy
I only know of three:
normal curve
outward curve R-09
and double length curve (which i do not own) R-21
So I do not know what I have or where did it come from? (3rd longest in the picture)
Is it for a set?

That might be a imitation Plarail track?

Interesting, I also thought there were only 3 types. Does the longer one have any names on it? It looks to be a shade different and may be as Plarnold says.

Being an odd size like that is still a good thing especially for a tricky area of an intense layout.
